Chewing sugarless gum for twenty minutes\nfollowing meals can help prevent tooth decay because the saliva helps wash away\nfood and other debris from the surface of your teeth. Increased salivary flow\ncan also neutralize acids that bacteria produce inside your mouth. Over time,\nacid can break down tooth enamel, leading to decay. Saliva contains calcium and\nphosphate, which aid in strengthening tooth enamel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Look for the ADA Seal<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ADA Seal assures you\nthat the gum is sugarless and has met the ADA\u2019s criteria for safety and\neffectiveness.
